ITW Medical was formed in 2012 to provide focused medical device development and manufacturing support to global customers. Bringing together the deep polymer expertise of Filtertek and the vertically-integrated capabilities of Coeur, ITW Medical serves OEM medical device companies worldwide.

The parent company, Illinois Tool Works Inc., was founded in 1912. Today ITW is a $16.2 billion diversified manufacturer of specialized industrial products and equipment, with approximately 825 business units in 52 countries and roughly 60,000 employees worldwide.

ITW Medical operates four manufacturing locations and has earned over 40 patents and 28 510(k)s. Capable of producing in the range of one million pieces per week, with injection molding presses from 10-ton to 300-ton clamping force, every site is certified to the latest version of ISO 13485.
